Upward Promotes Character and self-esteem in every child by:

• Providing an evaluation system that promotes equal teams and opportunities
• Establishing a one-hour practice and game each week
• Implementing a substitution system for each team, allowing every child equal playing time
• Creating the opportunity for every child to learn the skills of the game

Upward is more than a game. Your child will have fun learning or improving their sport specific skills through Upward. Participating in this league will give your child a chance to experience good sportsmanship on and off the court. While playing or cheering for Upward Basketball, you child will also receive a special recognition award after every game and have the opportunity to develop new friendships.

Basketball
Along with this unique sports experience, your child will receive the following:

• Upward Basketball T-shir

• A end-of-season award

Cheerleading
When your child cheers for Upward Basketball, they will be able to sign-up individually, not as a squad. They will also learn techniques to improve their cheerleading skills.

• Upward Cheerleading megaphone
• Upward poms
• Upward car magnet
• Matching hair ribbon
• End-of-season award
