The goal of the worship ministry of First Baptist North Mobile is true worship. Worship is a response of all that we are to all that God is. The biblical formula for true worship is found in John 4:23-24 when Jesus told the Samaritan woman, “Yet a time is coming and now has come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and His worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” The powerful balance of “in spirit and in truth” is our goal in corporate worship at North Mobile. We lift up our God with passionate and powerful praise, while standing firm on the unchanging truth of His eternal word. Within that delicate balance is an unspeakable freedom to worship our Lord. Whether singing a modern chorus or an ancient hymn, our hearts before God determine the sincerity of our song.
